The dock is one of the nicest amenities of our the community and is one of our biggest expenses. Our residents are very fortunate to have a quiet cove and dock for boat launching and swimming on Army Corps of Engineers land.

Thanks goes to one of our community property owners and his committee for keeping the dock safe, clean, maintained and in compliance. Repairs are constant and require parts and labor.

Donations make it possible to keep the dock in compliance with the Army Corps of Engineers and safe for use by our property owners. Use of the private Canyons boat dock is limited to residents only.

Remember to follow these guidelines when using the boat dock and the cove:

  • RESIDENTS ONLY!
  • DO NOT PARK ON OR NEAR THE BOAT RAMP, OR IN THE LANE OF BOAT TOWING
  • NO TRASH- PACK IT IN/PACK IT OUT
  • NO CAMPING
  • NO FIRES
  • NO FIREWORKS
  • NO FISH CLEANING
  • NO OVERNIGHT BOAT PARKING AT DOCK
  • SWIMMERS KEEP AWAY FROM BOAT TRAFFIC. IT’S A BOAT DOCK!

REMEMBER TO USE BOAT & WATER ACTIVITY SAFETY!

Take steps to safely prepare your family and guests for water and boating activities. Many residents who’ve lived in The Canyons have witnessed many failures due to uneducated swimmers and boaters at the cove. Be sure to follow these guidelines!

1) Take a boater education course

2) Practice safe boating by wearing a lifejacket, using your engine cut-off switch, avoiding alcohol and being aware of your boating environment

3) Watch children around water and learn to swim Boater Education courses are available online and in person across the state. Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 must have a boater education certificate to operate certain vessels in Texas.

4) “Boating” life jacket requirements include (but limited to):

  • Canoes
  • Kayaks
  • Paddleboards
  • Personal water Craft
  • Paddleboats
  • Boats of any kind
  • Any kind of towing behind a boat
