Welcome to our beautiful community! The Canyons, formerly known as Cedar Shores Estates, has quietly existed on the less densely populated west side of Lake Whitney for over 60 years. This site is brought to you by the “Cedar Shores Property Owners Association” our voluntary association of property owners and residents. Our goal is to improve and preserve our Canyons Community in Morgan, Texas, a scenic area with hiking trails, lake access, and an abundance of wildlife.

It is a great time to become involved in The Canyons and to meet your neighbors! Together we can maintain the spirit of friendliness and community that has sustained this lakeside residential area since 1961. The Cedar Shores POA typically holds monthly social events such as our “2nd Saturday Meet and Eat” suppers or outdoor gatherings at our Community Center. We also recruit volunteers for our semi-annual Saturday clean-up and tree and trimming followed by brush burning on the Community Center grounds. Please come join us.

Our community residents also voluntarily contribute for the upkeep of our Community Center, boat dock and common areas. We rely only on donations for utilities, insurance and repairs. Our board members, elected annually, are in regular contact with our Bosque County Commissioner for road repairs and other issues. We maintain a road fund to augment the amount allocated by the county.

Please consider donating to help maintain the beauty and vitality of our special lakeside community.
